Fairfield,Texas about 60 miles south of Dallas on interstate 45 about 160 miles from houston. town of about 3000 people. I recommend Gilberto’s restaurant for good reasonable dining.

Honestly cheap is a good word for texas. You shouldnt have trouble finding lots of cheap hotels all along your journey
