Is the Jacinto City part of Houston, TX a safe neighborhood?

I found a hotel by this area that seems really nice. I need to know if this part of houston is a safe place to stay at.

All I can tell you is that it is in one of the lowest income areas in Houston.

Yes, it is pretty safe, just take the same precautions you would anywhere else and you should be fine. They have put more cops on the street in the area lately.

ITS NOT ANY WORSE THAN MANY PARTS OF HOUSTON. THE ONE AND ONLY ADVANTAGE I CAN THINK OF IS THAT ITS MORE OD A SUBURB SO THERE ISNT AS MUCH CROWDING THERE. CHEMICAL PLANTS EVERYWHERE THOUGH, SO THE AIR REEKS.

i would say that it is not the worst, but it is far from the best… if you are staying near interstate 10 then you are okay, but just ensure that you lock your vehicle and be safe… i would suggest hotels around the west side of houston because they are safer and there is more shopping and restaurants than one can imagine…
i always priceline.com over near the west side (galleria area near interstate loop 610 and u.s. hwy 59) and have gotten some super sweet deals…
good luck!

I grew up near Jacinto City as a kid. If you are not use to lower income neighborhoods, don’t stay there. I’m assuming you’re staying at the the Hampton Inn? Last time I was in town, I saw some scary stuff that even surprised this East side girl.
So again, if you’re use to it, no problem, you’ll know how to handle yourself. If you’re not, I would suggest staying North or West. Those are the more affluent places.
